Itinerary

 

7:00  - Pick up from hotel in Bangkok.

 

7:45  - Pak Khlong Talad flower market. The wholesale market for flowers, fruits and vegetable. This market ranked no. 4 in the top 10 World’s largest flower markets.

 

8:30  - Grand Palace (Wat Prakaew). The temple of the Thai Royal family where enshrined of the Emerald Buddha.

 

10:00 - Take ferry across Chao Praya River to Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun).

 

10:15 - Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). This temple renamed after King Taksin the Great and his corps cruised down the river and arrived in front of the temple when the sun rises. The name has changed from "Wat Makok” (olive temple) to be “Wat Arun” (Temple of Dawn) to commemorate his Dawn arrival. At present the 81.85 meters height Prang (spire) has become an image of Thailand Tourism.

 

11:30 - Temple of Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho). The Buddha image is 46 meters in length. It was recorded as a “Memory of the World” in the International Register by UNESCO in 2011.

 

12:30 - Lunch at local Thai restaurant.

 

13:00 - Take speed boat (long tailed boat) along the canal and Chao Praya River to see Bangkok way of livings and feeding the river catfish (app 1 hr).

 

15:00 - Return to hotel in Bangkok.

 

Dress codes for visiting Royal temples in Bangkok : Ladies and men must be covered shoulders and knees. Long pants, shirts with sleeves, long skirts are acceptable. Footwear must be covered heels. Flip flop and sandal aren’t acceptable.
