Itinerary

 

7:00  - Pick up from hotel in Bangkok.

 

8:30  - Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon. The huge pagoda was built to celebrate after King Naresuan killed the Burmese crown prince.

 

9:15  - Tuk Tuk rides around Ayutthaya Historical Park to visit ruin temples.

 

9:45  - Wat Phra Mahathat. The head of the Buddha was engulfed in a Bodhi tree roots.

 

10:45 - Wat Lokayasutharam (Phra Non). This temple has the largest reclining Buddha in Ayutthaya 42 meters in length and 8 meters in height located outside the brick wall of its temple.

 

12:15 - Bang Pa-In Palace built by King Prasat Tong in 1632 and used as the Summer Palace for the Thai Kings.

 

13:30 - Lunch Cruise with international buffet, desserts and seasonal fruits. The view from both sides of the passenger room or from the deck is purely tranquil without any additives on Chao Phraya River. En route to Bangkok passing Siriraj Hospital, Wat Rakhang Kositaram, Grand Palace, Wat Arun and Wat Kalayanamit (app 2 hours).

 

15:45 - Arrive at River City Pier.

 

17:00 - Transfer back to hotel in Bangkok.

Dress codes for visiting Bang Pa-In Palace : Ladies and men must be covered shoulders and knees. Long pants, shirts with sleeves, long skirts are acceptable. Footwear must be covered heels. Flip flop and sandal aren’t acceptable.
